Doctor Lorrie Oliver - Wetaskiwin Optometrist

Dr. Lorrie Oliver was born and raised in Kirkland Lake, a small mining town in northern Ontario. This small town upbringing forged an interest in helping others and creating better communities. In 1993 Dr. Oliver graduated from the University of Waterloo with Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Optometry degrees. The following year she moved to Wetaskiwin with Dr. Johnson to begin practicing with Dr. Martin. In 1998, Dr. Oliver and Dr. Johnson created their own practice, Drs. Johnson & Oliver, Optometrists which has evolved to become Doctors Eyecare Wetaskiwin. Dr. Oliver has focused her education toward pediatric vision care, from prescribing glasses for young children to diagnosing and treating binocular vision and perceptual vision problems.

Dr. Oliver and Dr. Johnson are the proud parents of Ethan, born in 2002 and Craig, born in 2006. A busy working mother, Dr. Oliver is also a community booster, spending countless hours devoted to the Wetaskiwin Girl Guides, an organization that made an impact on her own upbringing. She is also involved with Canadian Parents for French, the parent advisory committee at Ecole Parkdale School and leading children’s worship at First United Church.

Committed to quality vision care for the whole family, Dr. Oliver welcomes new patients of all ages. Her patience and friendly demeanor can win over the most hesitant young patient.
