Dr. Whitehead joined Doctors Eyecare Wetaskiwin in 2009, shortly after we moved to our new location. He is a southern Alberta lad graduating high school in Fort Macleod. After a two year service mission for his church he attended the University of Lethbridge for his undergrad before heading to Waterloo, Ontario to complete his Doctor of Optometry degree. Dr. Whitehead and his wife are kept busy parenting five young children Colton (born 2003), Thomas (2005), Larissa (2008), Connor (2011) and Alison (2014). He loves spending his time outdoors camping, hiking, playing with his kids, and especially enjoys the beautiful mountain ranges of the Rockies. He enjoys coaching, throughout the years he has coached many community basketball teams and High School girls rugby.
Dr. Whitehead feels very privileged to live in Alberta where he can benefit from the best ongoing professional education available, work with the latest technology and is part of a team of progressive professional staff and colleagues whose mandate is to provide superior eye care to the Wetaskiwin regional community.
He invites and welcomes patients of all ages into the office, and encourages all to have regular eye health examinations.
